The Brief
Under Armour required a dedicated footwear table to elevate their brand presence within a multi-brand sports retailer. The fixture needed to anchor the category, hold significant stock, and deliver a consistent premium identity across Europe — all while being scalable enough to roll out to more than 450 stores.
The Challenge
The table had to carry over 160 shoeboxes while still appearing clean and premium. It needed to withstand daily retail use yet remain light enough for efficient logistics and safe in-store handling. The design also required built-in price and graphic integration without looking overly commercial, and a rollout solution that could be deployed across 22 countries within a tight six-month window.
The Solution
SmithBrewer delivered an end-to-end solution that combined robust engineering, brand fidelity, and commercial efficiency. Through extensive prototyping, we balanced load-bearing performance with lightweight construction, ensuring the table could carry high stock volumes without compromising manoeuvrability or stability. Our in-house fabrication teams developed bespoke headers, acrylic price displays, and graphic components designed for quick updates, giving Under Armour long-term flexibility while maintaining a premium aesthetic.
Lightweight modular structures were engineered to optimise transport and reduce cross-border shipping costs, enabling a smooth rollout across 22 countries. We supplied clear installation guides and self-install instructions to allow stores to deploy the fixture safely and consistently at scale. Close collaboration with Under Armour’s team ensured every detail — from materials to branding — met global standards and could be replicated at speed.
